Google Labs - Google Compute

If you have not been to Google Labs (labs.google.com), you need to take a look. They have an amazing list of tools that they have developed or are in the process of creating.

One of the tools that intrigued me, based upon some discussions I have recently had around the Network Centric Revolution™.

Google Compute allows you to donate your computer's idle time to help scientific research. It is actually built directly into the Google Tool Bar.

The project is similar to the World Community Grid.

It is a peer to peer model and extremely effective use of resources.
