Courtesy on the Bike Trail

I took a ride on my bike this morning at around 8 AM. It was a beautiful day, the sun is shining and the leaves are turning colors. I make a point of saying good morning to folks I pass, coming and going. I am always amazed that the majority of the people ignore me and keep the frown on their faces. Why are people so miserable and rude? I just don't get it?
